CraftPrint, Drivers en Firmware installeren

Bij de eerste installatie van Craftware (de slicer) wordt ook CraftPrint geinstalleerd. Craftprint is een zogenaamde ‘Host” en kan vanaf de PC de printer  besturen en -vooral- firmware installeren. Voor de toekomst: zorg altijd dat CraftPrint en CraftWare up to date zijn alvorens nieuwe firmware te installeren! Zie   hier.  Om CraftPrint te kunnen gebruiken wordt er met de installatie ook de juiste driver geïnstalleerd.  Mocht dit om wat voor reden niet zijn gebeurd, dan kan dat alsnog handmatig. CraftBot, Acceleratie Tweak: sneller en consistenter printen!

Ik heb enige tijd aan het commando M1203 besteed. Dit is het commando dat de CraftBot gebruikt om de settings van de firmware in te stellen aangaande de acceleratie van de extruderkop tijdens horizontale bewegingen. Een paar jaar geleden bestond deze functie nog niet. De maximum print snelheid was zo’n 30mm/s en leverde een enorme herrie op bij elke beweging. Als bewegingen ongeaccelereerd zijn dan moet de constructie van de printer in staat zijn om binnen haast geen afstand van hoge snelheid tot stilstand te komen. Archive Firmware releases CraftBot Up to date official firmware at http://firmware.craftunique.com/pr3Dator.firmware Early CraftTool (Unofficial Beta to update firmware. Use at your own risk). (Updated with pr3dator.11706) (this crafttool only works with older versions of firmware!) New CraftTool with july 2018 FW to be downloaded here. Download Zip and unpack. Ignore the safety warnings of Windows or not. Start the exe. CraftTool in the folder made. In the folder there’s a *.firmware file which is used to update the CB.  You probably have to replace that when newer versions are available.
